Implementing QuickBooks Online With Accounting Data in Ad Sales Genius

Implementing QuickBooks Online with Ad Sales Genius can be a very valuable tool to manage your accounting data. It is highly recommended that you implement QuickBooks during the onboarding process, as managing financial data from two different systems can create some undesired consequences. You must not integrate with Quickbooks Online if you have payments and invoice data in the system. 

If you are an Ad Sales Genius customer with existing financial data in our system, and you want to implement QuickBooks, there are some major caveats.

  • Again, do NOT attempt to connect QuickBooks Online if you have existing accounting data in Ad Sales Genius; payments and invoices. This will result in duplicate records in both systems.
  • Consult Ad Sales Genius support to discuss your plans to implement QuickBooks Online. We will remove and clear all accounting data in Ad Sales Genius prior to connecting QuickBooks Online. After integrating QuickBooks Online, that data will then be re-imported from QuickBooks into Ad Sales Genius.
  • You will lose Commissions calculations and will need to reconfigure these.
  • If you have linked Invoices, virtual links will be removed.
  • You will need to configure invoice rules to exclude any items from before your QuickBooks integration, or those items will display as not invoiced in Ad Sales Genius.
