Discounts Require Approval

Go to Settings > All Settings > General Settings > Account: Warn sales reps and notify sales manager of discounts exceeding: x %

  1. Input the discount threshold
  2. Scroll down to Sales: Discounts Require Approval and turn the switch ON
  3. Now that the threshold is set, when your sales users create a proposal with an overall discount amount that exceeds the predefined threshold: 
    • The green Set to Won button will be hidden, preventing them from converting from a proposal to a contract
    • A red warning bar will appear notifying the sales user they have exceeded the threshold
    • Request Discount Approval button will appear
  4. They will click the Request Discount Approval button
  5. Sales manager users and administrator users will receive an internal notification (and an email of that notification) that sales user has requested a discount approval on proposal no. [insert number]
  6. Sales manager user or admin user will click on that notification to be redirected to the proposal
  7. They will see a red bar at the top of the screen with a green button that says approve discount
  8. Once that button is clicked, the sales user will receive a notification (and an email of that notification) that the discount has been approved
  9. Sales user will click on that notification and be redirected to the proposal
  10. The sales user will now see the green Set to Won button, allowing them to convert it from an open proposal to a sold contract
