Authorize.net

Authorize.net Integration

  1. Verify that you have Authorize.Net Customer Information Manager (CIM) setup.
  2. To sign up for CIM please contact authorize.net customer support or upgrade online:

  • Log into the Merchant Interface.
  • Click Customer Information Manager in the main left side menu.
  • Click Sign up for Customer Information Manager (CIM) Now.
  • Click the checkbox labeled I have read and understand the Terms of Service.
  • Click I Agree.

3. Obtain your Application Program Interface (API) Login ID and Transaction Key:

  • Log into the Merchant Interface.
  • Click Account from the main toolbar.
  • Click Settings in the main left-side menu.
  • Click API Credentials & Keys.
  • Enter your Secret Answer.
  • Select New Transaction Key.
  • Click Submit to continue. Your new Transaction Key is displayed.
    • Note: If you change this API or Transaction Key after placing it within Ad Sales Genius, be sure to update to the new credentials.

4. Please keep all authorize.net settings in DEFAULT when integrating with Ad Sales Genius. Changing preferences will disrupt your payment gateway and disrupt functionality.

5. Enter your API Login ID and Transaction Key under Settings IntegrationsAuthorize.net

6. Once Authorize.net is integrated, it is important to be aware that their error codes can appear within our system. If you receive an error code, go to their API Response Codes page and use the Search Bar to find the code that appeared when you attempted to add a credit card or take payment. 

7. If you encounter a response code from Authorize.net, please reach out to their Customer Support team for guidance.

Common Response Codes: 

CODE: E00027
EXPLANATION: The transaction was unsuccessful.
DESCRIPTION: An approval was not returned for the transaction.  CODE:E00040EXPLANATION:DESCRIPTION: The customer profile ID, payment profile ID, shipping address ID, or transaction ID for this request is not valid for this merchant.

If you are getting a 'Held for Review' or 'Charge Back' message, please disable your Advanced Fraud Detection Suite in Authorize.net
