At Subscription Genius, we know that your subscribers all have different characteristics and that separating those subscribers into groups is imperative to your publication's sales and marketing efforts.

Our search filter provides you with a robust, precise, and intricate search tool to sort your subscribers as quickly as possible.

This search filter can be found in several places within the software. The mass edit, delete search, general export, and generic search function will all present the same search filter tool.

Let’s dive in to see how it works!

To access the tool, first, click on the subscriber tab, and then click search.

Here we can see the Subscription Genius search filter.

The first section will pertain to information found within a subscriber's name and address.

For instance, if you wanted to find every subscriber whose name contained a B, or subscribers that resided within a certain zip code, you could use this section to find those subscribers.

To find subscribers contained within a certain area or within a certain distance from a zip code, you can use the zip range fields found here.

Maybe you want to find all of your subscribers in Canada, with Subscription Genius simply select the country, and the work is done for you.

The next section of our search list will pertain to the subscription purchased by the subscriber,

You’re able to use the subscriber source, and date fields pertaining to the creation or expiration of the subscriber.

Have sales reps issuing comp subscriptions, sort by a sales rep to see a complete list of their complete subscription list.

If you have multiple titles you can sort by publication, or, if you’d like to find all subscribers who have purchased a certain bundle, you’re able to use the drop-down list to filter these results.

In the last field of this section, you can see the imported list drop-down menu. You’re able to sort through all the imported lists that you’ve previously loaded into the system.

The third section on our search page pertains to custom fields that you may have created for your publication. You’re able to use your answer choices provided or search for characters in empty text fields to find groups of subscribers based on the custom field information you’ve created.

The issues left section can be a great advantage for marketing efforts. Combining these three fields lets you sort your subscribers based on the number of issues they have remaining and the subscription type.

For example. If you’d like to find all subscribers, who have less than 3 issues, who subscribe only to your print publication, use these fields to filter those results.

The Received issue section pertains to downloaded press lists that you’ve created using Subscription Genius. You’re able to choose from previously downloaded lists to find subscribers. You can combine this with the issues left for example to find, subscribers from the previous issue that have only 2 issues remaining.

The last section of our search page pertains to our big data tool. this may or may not be something you’re using within Subscription Genius. For more information on Big data, please view our Big Data tutorial video.
