What are the Different Address Types in Ad Sales Genius?

This article will discuss all of the various places in the system where you can view and manage addresses.

From templates and proposals to the various client account records, there are many places in the software where you can view and modify addresses. This article will discuss each address field and where it appears in the software.

Billing Address

The billing address inside Ad Sales Genius is your company address that is utilized by Ad Sales Genius for billing purposes. 

Follow these steps to complete the billing address:

1. Click your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner of Ad Sales Genius.
   
   
   
   
2. Click the Billing option to see your billing details.
   
   
   
   
3. Use the Account Information tab to view and update your billing address.
   
   
   
   
4. Click the Submit button when you are satisfied with your selections.
   
   
   
   

Account Addresses

The Primary Account address is selectable when creating contracts and proposals. If configured on your templates, it will appear on your contracts, proposals, and invoices.

Follow these steps to view and manage the addresses for your accounts:

1. Click Accounts using the left-hand navigation menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the account to view the account details.
   
   
   
   
3. Here, you will see the primary address for this account:
   
   
   
   
4. Click the Edit button to modify this address:
   
   
   
   
5. Use the Edit Account window to edit, add, or remove the address for this account.
   Note: You may need to scroll down to see the Address field.
   
   
   
   Note: Any addresses marked with the blue bar indicate that this address is designated as the Primary address. 
   
   
   
   
6. Click the Save button when you are satisfied with your selections.
   
   

Contact Addresses

Contact Addresses are addresses that are associated with an account's contacts. These addresses are displayed on the contract and invoice when that contact is selected.

Note: If you delete old contacts you must go to any existing contracts and select the addresses you want. This will only then copy to new invoices. The edit will not retroactively update old invoices.

Follow these steps to view and manage contact addresses:

1. Click Accounts using the left-hand navigation menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the account that contains the contact you wish to modify.
   
   
   
   
3. On the account details, click the contact for whom you would like to add or modify the address.
   
   
   
   
4. Here, you will see the address associated with this contact. Click the edit button if you would like to add a new address or modify an existing address.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Use the Addresses field to update the existing address or add a new address.
   
   
   
   
   • Click the remove button to remove an existing address.
     
     
     
     
   • Click the + Add New Address button to add a new address.
     
     
     
     
   • Any addresses marked with the blue bar indicate that this address is designated as the Primary address. 
     
     
     
     
6. Click the Save button when you are satisfied with your selections.
   
   

Parent Account Addresses

Setting a Parent Account in Ad Sales Genius allows you to connect two separate accounts for the purpose of creating proposals, contracts, and invoices. 

What this means in Ad Sales Genius is that when you are building a proposal, and you need to specify the various contacts (Billing, Sold To, Production), you will have access to the contacts within both the Parent Account and the Sub Account.
