Account Credit Limits

You can set credit limits to prevent sales that exceed a credit limit for the account. This calculation is based on the total amount of the sale plus any outstanding invoice balances. 

To set a credit limit:

1. Navigate to Accounts using the left-hand navigation menu. 
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the account you want to update or click the View button for that account to display the details page.
   
   
   
   
3. Click the Edit button in the right-hand corner of the account page to display the account properties. 
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click on the Accounting link to view this account's financial settings:
   
   
   
   
5. Enter the desired amount in the Credit Limit field.
   
   
   
   
6. Click the Save button in the bottom right corner to save your work and return to the Account page.
